Game On? HRC Announces Feb. Fundraising.

Thu Feb 28, 2008 at 11:53:53 AM PDT

I'm stunned not to see a diary on this.  I just saw on MSNBC (it is also being reported online) that Hillary Clinton raised $35 million in the month of February.

A few details and an Obama call-to-action over the fold.

Via MSNBC:

WASHINGTON - Rebounding from weak fundraising in January, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton raised $35 million in February, a campaign official said Thursday, a remarkable recovery and her biggest fundraising period of her campaign.

Clinton raised nearly $14 million in January to Barack Obama's $36 million.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton would not disclose his campaign's fundraising total, but said: "We've raised considerably more than that."

Huh.  This could seriously help her in the critical upcoming races in Texas and Ohio.  Via RealClearPolitics, the two critical Texas and Ohio aggregated poll numbers are as follows:

Ohio
Obama: 42.5%
Clinton: 49.3%

Texas
Obama: 47.6%
Clinton: 46.0%

Both CNN and MSNBC have been reporting that Obama is outspending Clinton in both races on both advertising, direct mail, and ground organization - but the new numbers are bound to give the Clinton campaign a lift.

I am ready for next Tuesday to be decisive.  As an Obama supporter, this means that I need to double-down.  I have to DONATE MORE.  I have to MAKE CALLS INTO EACH STATE.  I wish I lived in Texas or Ohio so that I could FIND AN EVENT and VOLUNTEER on the ground.

Will you rise to the occasion and push - HARD - to put Barack Obama over the top on March 4?
